Rolls Vacuum lift tubes
can be used with radius feet for simple horizontal transfer of
most rolls up to 1,000 lbs. Capacities on porous surfaces are
reduced. Simple manual rotations to near vertical can be made
if the roll will not telescope while being supported from the
side. Vacuum lift tubes can be used with an expandable
core insert for transfer of vertical rolls. |
|
Rotating of rolls is generally done
with a clamping device and electric or pneumatic controls for
rotations. The roll must be suitable for clamping without telescoping. |
|
Core inserts can be supported from
a chain or air hoist for vertical transfer. Short, light rolls
can be rotated to horizontal with a simple rotating core design. |
|
A simple rod can be placed through
the core with sufficient excess for attaching both ends to a
chain or air hoist. This is for horizontal transfer only. |
