SHEETS |
SUPPORT: Metal, plastic, and
wood sheet is typically non-porous and can be handled by hi-air
flow or hi-vacuum lift systems with a number of suction cups
suitable to provide safe support and lift. ROTATIONS:
Sheet can be rotated partly, or completely to or from vertical.
This can be with mechanical rotating attachments which allow
free rotation or pneumatic rotators. All sheet
handling systems are supported by an overhead bridge or jib crane.

Suction cups need
to be placed as far out as necessary to allow no more than 1
" sag from the cup to the sheet edge. Place the sheet on
a horizontal support and push the leading edge off. When the
edge sags 1 " below horizontal you have a minimum position
for suction feet. A straight line spreader bar with 2-4 suction
feet is preferred as it is lighter and more maneuverable. But,
if the sheet is too flexible, an 'X' or 'H' pattern foot is recommended.
